Directed by David Lean, starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie, DOCTOR ZHIVAGO is set in Russia between the years prior to World War I and the Russian Civil War of 1917-1922. It follows the life of a Russian physician and poet who, although married to another, falls in love with a political activist’s wife.

Filmed over nearly five years in twenty-five countries on five continents, and shot on seventy-millimetre film, Samsara transports us to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders.
